These are bookmark designs for a Toronto-based book publisher’s line of mystery fiction. The second, third and fourth concepts utilise imagery from existing covers from the line. The decision was made to create a new logo and illustration, the first attempt being the design at the very bottom. After many revisions to the amount of blood, length of blade and number of veins on the leaf, the topmost concept was approved.
